Christ, Our example of humility - Philippians Chapter 2

In these troubled times It is very difficult for us to believe, hope, and have optimism. Why? Because this is what we all desire, we all hope for there to be peace on earth and goodwill toward men. All around us however, we see trouble and strife. Reflecting on this during this Christmas holiday season prompted me to ask a question, how do we have peace on earth and goodwill? I will suggest here, Christ, is our example of humility...and he is the only one who can bring peace on earth and goodwill to the hurting and hope to the humble. Could it be that true peace and goodwill only come when we give away our life?

My Life Story

It had occurred to me recently, that I open most programs with, "this is your host Pastor Tim Moore". I realized I have never shared with you, the listeners, who I am. This is My Life Story. Well, as much as I can share in 30 minutes anyway.

The Lord of The Harvest

Pre-recorded before I left for my mission trip to Tanzania & Thailand, this Holloween message explores how Jesus is the Lord of the harvest. Original air date October 31, 2014 on KKPZ 1330 The Truth, Portland Oregon.

The Power and Intimacy of Prayer

In my 30 years of serving to advance the Kingdom of God I have found prayer to be one of the most tender and special parts of my Christian walk. I strongly suspect that many of you feel the same way. If you have spent any time in intimacy with God in prayer then you know truly how special these times can be.

The Power Of Words

There is power in our words. Words can hurt... words can heal.... We must use our words wisely, and guard our sharp tongues so that our words will not wound one another but minister life to one another.

Forgiveness and Reconciliation

Forgiveness and Reconciliation. How often at the hearing of these two words does it send shutters down the spine of most people because it is not a subject that we like to talk about or tackle. Forgiveness and reconciliation requires us to do something that involves humbling ourselves and going to another person, making right something that went wrong.

A Message for Men - Part 1

One of the areas that I have been passionate about for a long time is ministering to the needs of men. Not only do I believe men need to be ministered to, but also men need to be challenged in how they are living, leading and loving. (PART ONE) (Part two below)

Message for Men - Part 2

A look at the book Wild at Heart by John Eldridge. Every man has an Adventure to Live a Battle to Fight and a Beauty to Rescue.(PART TWO)

Having Integrity

How much have you ever thought about the importance of integrity? If you spend some time looking around the community and the world at large you may notice that integrity seems to be something just a little bit less important than it was and past generations.

Unity

Unity is one of the most difficult aspects to achieve in human relationships. Unity is something we all want and hope for. We desire it for nations, for companies, in our governments and in our communities and neighborhoods and of course in the church. How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! - Psalm 133:1

Does our work matter to God?

Here in the United States we are celebrating our Labor Day holiday weekend. Labor Day is traditionally thought of as the last hurrah of the summer before the children go back to school and we begin to turn our hearts, thoughts and actions toward the fall season and even in anticipation of the holiday season right around the corner. Thinking about Labor Day got me thinking about this question... Does our work matter to God?

4th of July Special with Vernon Weise, John Knoernschild, Tim Moore

I thought it would be fun to just muse a bit about our liberty and freedom. I ask the Garden Samurai, John Knoernschild and Vernon Weise, Host of The Rose City Forum to join me in studio to talk about this great nation we call home. One has to wonder if in this grand 238 year old (so far) experiment in history known as the U.S.A. really has become a model for exceptionalisum? Or, if we are just a flash in world history doomed to be nothing more than a turn of a page in some history book 1000 years from now?

Viva The Revolution! The beginning of a dream... Part 1

The Impact Community Christian Center

A Biblical Entrepreneurial Missional Church

IMPACTING THE PDX METRO COMMUNITY THROUGH THE ARTS, FOOD, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

WHY DO WE DREAM OF THIS AND WHERE ARE WE GOING?

We dream of creating a PDX metro church where community life is transcendent for those who have a past church experience and those who do not. To reach a jaded community, showing them that for those whom Jesus died (all mankind) a fulfilled life and destiny of eternal significance is possible, both in this life and the next.

We dream of creating a gathering center...a destination... a place to “hang out”, meet and eat, learn and grow spiritually. Develop a motif where the purpose is to feed people spiritually and physically (a church running a restaurant), going deeper in the Word of God, learning to listen and respond to the Spirit. Create a Word and Spirit Church where the best of the evangelical and charismatic traditions shine. Glorifying God in our service, worship, and creativity. The goal is to reach a broad, ethnically diverse community of families of late baby boomers, busters, and gen Xers sharing the gospel of Christ woven in and through all we do.

We want to love on people and provide meaningful, exciting clean hospitality ministry. The thrust is evangelism. Food and the arts are a beautiful gift from God, and we desire to create a place where talented people can reach down deep inside and tap into the creative places God has given them, artist and fine artist alike. Impact Community Christian Center is an opportunity to, in a very significant way, energize evangelism passion in the hearts of those who will embrace this Biblical Entrepreneurial Missional Church.

The best part...As we create an outlet for individuals to express their creativity we will turn Satan’s perversions of the arts & business on its ear and become a powerful tool to reach the lost...

BUT WAIT...THERES MORE.  INTERESTED?
