Hello everyone…We made it safely to Uganda after a grueling 32 hours of travel. So far we have been in to Kampala to exchange our currency and see the city. The next day just 24 hours after arriving we were up at 3:30 AM in the morning to take a two hour ride to Bulelo men’s prison... We ministered there for about two hours, sharing the gospel and providing medical care, food, and other supplies. Several men responded to the gospel and gave their hearts to Jesus. It was amazing to see God at work once again.
We then headed back to the Suguku Village and the UCOM (Uganda Christian Outreach Ministry) compound as the men were scheduled to address the students at the Yesu Akwagala (Yes sooo Ak-quag-ala) Bible College. All three Pastors on the team gave short 15 min presentations of encouragement.
After lunch we piled into one of the prison ministry vans and headed off to women’s prison to begin an afternoon of ministry there. The Lord moved powerfully during our time there and many women were born again. Tim shared from the Bible John chapter 8, the story of the “woman caught in adultery” and how Jesus did not condemn her. Many ladies responded well when I explained that Jesus would never hurt them. Many of these women have been sexually abused and have deep wounds it was amazing to see God touch their hearts.
After dinner our CFC team prayed together and got into the word before heading to bed at around 10 PM. A full 19 hour day to be sure...
The next day we awoke with anticipation of a day of ministry at the Bethany House Orphanage. We delivered our gifts of clothing, toys, and nursery supplies along with each child getting his or hers own teddy bear wrapped in a blanket. IMPACT-Life Change Community proved the bears, blankets and $500.00 dollars. CFC proved the rest. What a blessing it was for us to spend time with the little children and their care givers. You can’t believe how much gratitude they all had. YOU ARE A BLESSING!
Early (4 AM) Saturday morning Uganda Time, the team will hit the road for a 14 hour journey to the Mwanza district in Tanzania. The journey will be long, bumpy and HOT! Please be praying for our stamina. Sunday we three pastors we will preach in a local church each. Monday we begin our first week of Pastors Training during the 5 days followed each evening with us preaching in the local outreach events. It will be a great time of ministry. After we will head to the next village and do it all over again. We will head back to Uganda after two weeks here in Tanzania.
I will give more updates if I am able, internet access is marginal. On behalf of the CFC ministry team bless you all for your partnership, prayers and support.
With much love – Pastor Tim
